Taking You Back To The Bow And Arrow History
Is history a mystery? Yes history is indeed mystery for those who don’t know about the history. History is very interesting subject but unfortunately only few of us read history. In a wider sense reading history is essential for every human being. As everyone knows about his/her family i.e., his father and mother and ethnicity, so everyone should know about the history of human; that is from where we have come and how we have been able to make tremendous success and development over a period of centuries.

Sadly, my daughter does not like history. She claims it is boring! She joins the ranks of hundreds of students who do not like learning about history. Perhaps it is the methods in which it is taught or perhaps it is the content of the material that makes it “boring.” Regardless of the reason, history should be one of those subjects that opens the door for class discussions, debates, dramas, projects, and my personal favorite, creative writing.
I find it hard to separate our actions from universal events. Everything hinges on what we do with our lives. The technologies we invent like surgery, chemotherapy, airplanes, guns, Internet, iPad and smart phones. The life styles we choose. The food we eat. The houses we build and choose to live in. The values we embrace, and so forth. The way we think has everything to do with where we are – our family, careers or lack of it, religion, our net worth or income whether poor or rich. We even go further to create a middle-class, whatever this is. Thoughts are the roots of everything. Whatever exists in our realm of reality is what we have given birth to by our thoughts. Thoughts are ideas, images, or conversations. They are not blank spaces or fillers in our heads. Thoughts are things.

Wael Shawky’s art work was too way special. A Big brown box with window in the front veiled by curtains. The curtains open after waiting for 2 minutes revealing small art pieces of Pope Urban II and people around him with light spot on the Pope. It’s the glimpse of clean history. The first speech that was the sparkle of bloodshed, moving the armies from Europe to the Middle East and establishing the Kingdome of Jerusalem in 1099 (the end of the first crusade). It was followed by the second crusade to the ninth crusade which lasted for less than 200 years. This is how history changed in the Middle East at that time. One speech changed the map.
Your job as a writer is to give a meaning to what happens and how you do that is by having one event cause the next. You need to tie things together and make sure that each event happens BECAUSE of one before it — except for the Inciting Incident, of course, which is the event that kicks off the whole story. It is all about Cause and Effect. For a deeper study, read Aristotle’s Poetics or Michael Tierno’s adaptation of it, Aristotle’s Poetics For Screenwriters. Although it’s got “Aristotle” in the title, it’s not as highfalutin’ as it sounds. Tierno will give you a very clear foundation for understanding this fundamental of screenwriting that is the most misunderstood of any aspect of storytelling. And he gives good examples, too.
I recently posted a feature called Women and the War at my genealogy site. Through this accounting I learned a lot about my grandmother and other female family members and the roles they played during war times. I began to understand the frugality of my grandparents generation in a way I never really embraced before.

From the mouths of children things are seldom expressed how they can be, no vocabulary! Perched on my shoulders, I saw my boys flowing away; that coldness growing inside of them like dead eels being frozen (thus they became phony like me). They dropped me into a watery grave even though I did all I could to save what I could, sometimes it is worse, doing what is right, and being cursed.
Remember searching and gathering the information will be a long term project that could take years to complete, but at the end who knows what could be waiting for you on your journey.
